The Single Best Ad of Superbowl XLVI

In addition to great football and artery-clogging unhealthy calorie intake, the Super Bowl is all about inventive, entertaining, and ballsy television ads.

There were talking babies and swimming pool urination, but...

...the 60-second promo for NBC's The Voice was my favorite television ad last night, even before the surprise cameo appearance at the end. I won't spoil it by naming the special guest in case you were taking a pee break and missed the original airing of the spot during the game. If you already saw the ad...watch it again! Can we ever really get too much of the sexy and unstoppable XXX YYY?

Turn of Phrase - Brady's Wife Tells the Truth

"My husband cannot fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."

- Tom Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, overheard (and captured on video) making comments about Patriots' wide receivers, while waiting on an elevator at Lucas Oil Stadium after the Super Bowl.

Tom Terrific could never (and would never) make such a crass but true statement about his teammates, but his wife did. And she's right, even Tim Tebow would be unlikely to pull off a miracle of that magnitude, and we all know who his most dependable teammate is.
