Grenell resigned Tuesday after significant pressure from socially conservative Republicans made it impossible for him to do his job.

The Romney campaign aide went out of his way to point out that his gayness was not an issue for Romney or the campaign staff. It's unfortunate that the rest of the Republican party couldn't leave Grenell's personal sexual orientation out of his professional life.
