I'm as tired of seeing saggy-pants young people as anyone else (did I just say "you damn kids get off my lawn?"), but come on, kicking passengers off of airplanes because their pants are too low? Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead singer of the band Green Day, tweeted last week that he was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight in Oakland for having his drawers too droopy.
Sadly and surprisingly, this was the second time this has happened in the San Francisco Bay Area in recent months. Granted, I don't know all the gory details of the event, but this is starting to feel like frustrated airline personnel who are taking advantage of their "authority" to impose their personal fashion views on the unsuspecting and potentially poorly dressed public. Just keep us safe, get us off the ground on time, and get over it.
