Daily Zen - Monday, January 22

In Zen, the effort and the result
are not two different things,
the means and the goal are not separated,
the finding occurs in the very seeking itself.

Daily Zen - Wednesday, March 9

Do not seek to find out "what to do."
Every "what to do" is only an abstraction.
You will never come to the truth of your
own being by riding on the back of an
abstraction. If you know "what to do,"
you can be sure it is the wrong thing.

Daily Zen - Wednesday, May 13

Zen practice is thus not a set of operations
designed to achieve an external goal.
In Zen, the effort and the result are not
two different things, the means
and the goal are not to be separated,
the finding occurs in the very seeking itself.
