From the weird but true files...
A Utah man was shot in the butt by his dog last week while duck hunting. Police indicated the dog accidentally stepped on the trigger after the hunter went to re-position duck decoys, leaving his shotgun untended. I believe the dog may have been trying to save a few ducks.
Regardless of the dog's intent, the moral of this story is clear - guns don't shoot hunters in the ass, dogs do.
I am willing to bet you have never hunted. Most people that are against it never have hunted. Is fishing immoral or a bad thing??? If anyone ever hooked a deer from a pile of corn bait and fought it at the end of a pole on a string till it was worn out but not dead, then threw it on ice while it was still alive........ Boy I am sure the moral fish duck and animal jiggers would come unglued. Lol
ReplyDeleteEd! You are mostly right...I did go hunting when I was a kid, but I was never any good at it and never killed anything. Honestly, I am not "anti-hunting" in any way as long as the intent is to eat what you kill. I suppose my only issue would be killing for killing's sake, but I don't think that's the motivation for the vast majority of hunters. Since I am not a vegetarian, I sometimes say the difference between me and a hunter is that they have the balls to kill their food while I buy mine at the meat counter.
